    However, Nigel Adkins is the only candidate to have had 2 interviews. He has also confirmed he's happy to work with Burton has his number two which the board have stated is part of the role.

    Source: someone senior at the academy. Take as you will.

    Same source laughed at the suggestion Di Canio was a candidate, but did say he could have been interviewed away from the ground. He hasn't been down Oakwell.

    If he wasn't a candidate why did they interview him? I'd take Adkins by the way.

    I'd go along with that with maybe Johnson in reserve although if Mark Burton can hold the fort till end of season whilst we sound out the Brentford manager that would be good imo

    Adkins with Burton no 2 would be dream ticket for me.

    Would add some continuity / knowledge of existing players strengths & weaknesses, especially Academy boys.

    Rosler would be good too, if would agree to Burton as no 2, also.

    I think insisting on Burton as number 2 is a good call by the board.
