Both myself and Roy yesterday got into the game for a lot less than £23. Another lad I know, and his pal, also got in for a lot less than we did even. Some folk are chalking **** on watching us, despite shelling out for a pass. So much so, they're coming to Oakwell at 2.45pm, and making £15... Apathy.
How does that work then? You sell your ST card for 15 quid, then what? How do you get it back off the stranger you've given it to?
I remember a Sunderland fan offering me £100 for my ST when they had Keane as manager and half their town turned up.
Stood outside ponty and ask me if I'd got a ticket, sold me a spare for £15 and went thru the turnstiles with him. Then just sat where I wanted, happy days, but what we found amazing we spoke to numerous folk who been offered the same from various fans, it was all a bit weird,
Photo I'd should have been on this years cards to be fair. I did give the club figures on how little it costs years ago (something like 7p extra per card if I remember right).
Was offered a Barnsley season ticket in the Premiership season by an Everton fan for about 20 quid...
two sides to this story:- a) denying club funds b) cheaper entrance by using someones s/t.....and if s/t holder charges £15 then they will make a profit if they did it every game.....Jase might appreciate the canny business done there!!! tek thi pick. Maybe Jase will ban the s/t holders doing this or even YT????? However banning folk who are leaving in their droves anyway does not make business sense.....jeez I should be on Dragons Den!!
ST's are already non-transferrable - if they catch you! To be honest Whitey, I'm a bit surprised at this. The club obviously makes no extra dough when a casual attender such as yourself avoids the entrance money being paid to the club. Harriet Harman and her 'Court of Public Opinion' would not approve!
