Mr Cryne & Mansford were very clear we're not doing any of this - just looking at goals, games played, minutes completed etc. Nothing at all like this, apparently.

I came to the realisation on Saturday that this is the crux of our issues and why both DW and now MB have had to make us turgid - it is because the defensive side of the team is ****ing pitiful and seeing as these "attributes" don't seem to have been taken into account in the algorithms nor can you calculate personality etc etc...

I must have missed that bit. I probably nodded off during Uncle Ernest.

I've no idea mate, but if we're taking Mr Mansford at face value he was very clear we're not doing anything massive in terms of analysis, merely checking some data rather than the modelling mentioned earlier on.

And that is all you can do...

It seems to me the most reasonable explanation. Notwithstanding the still to be realised impact of Scowen and that a new manager may find a way to play the much vaunted open, expansive, attacking attractive football that it seems is required along with challenging at the top whilst selling your best players.

I'd like to see the results of mathematical model which calculates what has made Midtjylland a success - the £6.2 million investment or the new statistical approach.

    Sounds v̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶s̶i̶m̶i̶l̶a̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ a bit like what Cryne's talking about.
