Only just had chance to listen to this, so my thoughts ... Well done Dyson & whoever else was involved in pulling it together. Whilst I still don't agree with the sacking, it has reaffirmed a few things for me. We are lucky to have Patrick Cryne. "******** Ben" - he has my respect. I know there's plenty of media speak, but I don't see what else he can do. He continually makes himself available, and answers every question put to him. I actually feel alot more optimistic now.
If you disregard that the club needs a scoring system to know that certain players are worth more than 10 bob.
Any idea where on the recording this part is?I must've missed it first time and can't be added to listen to the whole thing again to find it
About halfway through first half is as much as I can tell you tbh without going through it all again myself.
Nine (nein) but don't say "ich bin ein Berliner) apparently last person that did got shot not long after.
This seriously is a German joke... Why did the Czech tourist cross the road? Because he was impressed by the excellent crossing facilities on major German routeways compared to the relatively poor facilities constructed by his own Czech government. He was so distracted by the quality of the road that he did not see the car speeding towards him. Look out, Mr Czech!
Good questions and brilliantly answered by Patrick and Ben. The probing about James Cryne was a little tedious though. I dont think I'll ever get my head around the John Stones sale either. System or no system it was blatant he was/is an outstanding talent. He was always going to be an England international. In terms of Dannys sacking I dont know how anyone can argue. Its been there for all to see that Danny couldn't motivate the team. He didnt have a clear philosophy on how he wanted them to play. If he did he didnt know how to get it across. Whether you agree or not you have to accept that the results Danny produced gave the board a decision to make. In my opinion they made the right one. Its the next decision thats most important.
the story about no-one in the club really knowing how good Stones was struck me as a bit weird...and that if we'd had a scoring system that would have been rectified....I mean, if it is your job to coach and observe footballers every day....
