Didn't go last night but he was class on Saturday. Let's hope whoever is in charge for the remainder of the season will continue to play him with someone who can break play up allowing Bailey to play on the ball more.
Maybe he just needed a spell out of the side, there's no doubting he was dire before though. Think we benefit with Bailey and Pearson together in the centre, and Scowen is fast becoming what we were all hoping for from Hourihane.
Gets better than that. When we conceded 5 against MK Dons, Bailey didn't play. When we conceded 5 against Crawley, Bailey didn't play. When we conceded 3 against Notts County, Bailey didn't play. When we conceded 3 against Walsall, Bailey didn't play. Only game where we've taken a hammering or conceded more than 2 goals with Bailey in the side was at home to Swindon when Dudgeon was ripped to shreds by Nathan Byrne.
Rated him all season & I still do now. Made a scapegoat on here for been picked at the base of a diamond that often left him over ran through no fault of his own in the centre of the park
It's never been in doubt that he's a good player. But no one can deny that his form was dreadful and he deserved dropping.
What about the other 20games he has played for us... how many of those have we won? Not enough, thats what. Bailey has it in his locker to be a good player, but his fitness and form have been poor for the majority of the season... Like many others in our side e.g. Cranie, Lita, Hemmings, Naytanga, and Jennings I want to see more from them them, more comitment, desire and add some consistency to their game.
