Third snatch attempt in town centre today

Outside boots this time ! All those CCTV cameras in town and yet no clue as to who is doing this !

 

Is this for real, or perhaps someone being mischievous. Genuine question.

 

One of them was a friend of my wife. Can I just ask why you would think anyone would be mischievous about such a thing?

 

To cause fear? To encourage racism and division? To score points in a run up to the election?

Not saying it hasn't happened, the first I heard of it was this evening. However the fact that I heard it from someone I know to be bigoted and against "those immigrants" makes me wary of 100% believing what's been said.

 

As an outsider what is being snatched?

 

Yes, it's not unknown for things to get exagerated, overhyped etc as stories get passed around. There's also the possibility of this sort of thing being exploited for say political purposes by some. Hence the mischievous bit. I do not doubt your story and I'm very disturbed by this, particularly as I have a 4 year old daughter.

This board is terrible at times. I simply relay information that I believe is the truth and I get doubted and called a frigging bigot. Oh yes and I was a borderline racist and an idiot who thought I saw Kiwomya and his dad on grove St. This time I do hope what I have been told is not the truth or at least never happens again. Some people on here do my ****ing nut in. Let's all hope a child doesn't get snatched whether it's election year or not.

Wasn't on Look North so it didn't happen !!

 

Back to my original point. People in Barnsley town centre have reported attempts of child abduction. We have all this CCTV yet no photofit or evidence to say what exactly happened. Apparently the cctv cameras don't move as there has been cutbacks and no-one to man them. They are all stationary. Could be true considering we are having speed cameras removed for similar reasons

Before two folk I like get in to a row, can I just say, I know jut and I've never even see him think a racist thought (and believe me, you can sometimes see his brain working) never mind say one, and if he says summat happened, then it did.
