Four or five could have got the man of the match tonight and I wouldn't have complained. Pearson was excellent; I hope we can keep him until the end of the season.
I think Ben's a very promising footballer and it'll be interesting to watch his career develop. Not going to compare him to a lad who has stood out in the division above though. See no point.
And Nyatanga was my MOTM, although all of Scowen, Holgate, Pearson and Waring were great. Little mention for Hourihane too whose set pieces were bang on.
Don't be silly. Drinkwater has played in the top two leagues. Pearson has played for us in division three for less than two months. He's good but he's nowhere near Drinkwater level.
It'll also be interesting to see if a Championship club nicks him off us after Saturday. If he's so highly rated, you'd expect one to fancy him.
Pearson neat and tidy player , scowen a little terrier , in your face and up and down pitch . Great midfield again . Hourihane playing better and getting stuck in too, hopefully he will get back to early season form soon
Also credit to Hourihane, another assist and looks like he's getting back to his usual self, just needs that goal.
Another very good performance from him. Hope he stays for the season, I reckon he'll fancy it now too.
Nyatanga my MoM, although a few others in wi a shart toneet. Pearson is just different gravy for me. Loved him from first time I saw him and through some bleak performances he was only shining light that med me kept caring. Shame he int ours but he`ll be loaned to a Championship side next season, could that be us?
I didn't think anyone stood out last night, it was a team of lads who all put in solid performances. I like Pearson but I wouldn't be devastated if he went simply because we've got lots of decent central midfielders. It's the one position that doesn't worry me if we get an injury or he has to go back. I'm much more worried about the wings, up front & left back
Bailey and Berry are decent players trying step up a level and it shows, but they'll get to that level and above it from what I've seen of them in time. But Pearson is at that level with bells on, and needs to step up to another level to see how he comes out of that test, because he's past this one with flying colours, we are very lucky to have had him at the club, and I've loved watching him, we'll miss him when he's gone, it's been a breath of fresh air watching a young lad on loan actually look like he gives a fu'ck about the club that's giving him a chance, he's grabbed his chance and done himself proud everything about the kid is pure class attitude ability and personality, I wish him all the luck in the world for the future as long as he don't end up in Sheffield or Leeds, but for now I really hope we get him again for a month or rest of season.
Bailey stepping up a level? From the championship? Berry yes but surely Bailey has made a step down? Pearson is a good player with lots of potential. As is Hourihane who started like a house on fire. Hope we keep him. However if he goes back sure Bailey or Berry would step in ok. Would hope we keep him and add a left and right winger to add to Llalkovic and O'Sulivan. Quality wide players are gold dust, and win you games. Pace and Width will rip most teams in this league apart. And in Winall and Waring we have a couple of strikers how can knock chances away if presented (even Hemmings could shine with right service). So for me two quality wingers either on loan or preferably agree with their clubs to release them and sign them on frees and I would say we have an excellent shot at playoffs although gut feeling is we will just miss out this season.
