Allowing premier league u21s to play in the johnstones paint trophy. The FA are a complete joke! They care about nothing apart from the premier league. Won't be long before lower league football will vanish.

Sooner a premier league team goes tits up the better, would love to see one have a demise similar to what Rangers are going through.

That would be outrageous. We must preserve the sanctity of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

I went to a do at the club last week at which Ben and Maurice were speaking. They raised the fact that the emergency loan system is being outlawed by FIFA/UEFA from, I think, next season. It was generally agreed that the biggest impact of this would be on young English players in bloated Premier League squads who will lose the chance of getting experience at lower levels. It would also impact the likes of Crawley who do not run youth teams and generally rely on young loanees from higher league clubs. We, on the other hand, should be at an advantage due to the investment we make in our Academy. It was also mentioned that this the main reason why Greg Dyke is pushing the idea of Premier club 'B' teams being allowed to join League 2. I suspect that the Johnstones Paint thing is for similar reasons.

Finally. The banning/reduction of loans will see transfer fees and wages drop significantly

Why don't the top two divisions organise proper reserve leagues, which are competitive. That would be a great innovation. Oh hang on a minute ............
