That may be of interest to others. BFC related, kind of. Wasn't that Davey playing him in the middle of midfield? One of many Barnsley managers who didn't use wingers
Lita: "I've not been playing games really.. even the new gaffer wants to play the other lads ahead of me, still.... so I thought I'd come here and play games" Interviewer: "was it a surprise when they said you could go, cos you have been playing a bit..?" Lita: (shakes head) "narrr, not enough, every 6 weeks or summink so if you call that a bit then fair enough... I signed up there for a different manager so.." Interviewer: "do you see this as a potential long term move?" Lita: "could be.. I'm just hoping to play games, score some goals and help the team, then whatever happens happens at the end of the season" Interviewer: "could you go back to Barnsley?" Lita: "we'll see at the end of the season.... but I don't, I don't see that, I think I'll be looking to go somewhere else" Another interviewer: "your scoring ratio is really good, so why aren't you getting games?" Lita: (bemused look on face) I don't know, you need to ask the managers... I'm not a player you can just put in and out the team, you get the best out of me when I'm in... the last time I played regularly was when I was at Sheffield Wednesday" Good luck to him. But he had plenty of chances here, not buying this "didn't play enough" argument.
You've gotta say that much as we respect him, Danny got this one wrong. LL had clearly 'gone' when we signed him, and Danny and his team should have discovered more about his decline/lack of fitness before making a decision to sign him
If he can be arsed. Otherwise he'd struggle to tear a wet paper bag apart. I know where my money will be 99% of the time.
Was thinking the same. He'd struggle to tear tissue paper apart on a regular basis. Shame because when he's on his game he's virtually unstoppable. Seems most managers can't find a way to get him started on a regular basis though.
