The man gave us our finest hour , I will never forget the feeling when Clint Marcelle sealed our rise to the Premier league, the phrase "better than sex" springs to mind. I was up at my Mum's that week-end... when she saw me coming down the path a grin the size of the 'cheddar gorge' a daft hat on and eyes showing I had stopped off for a couple... she actually wept. I did not know that till after. My wife told me on our tip back to Scotland ( RAF Kinloss)... My Mum was THAT happy to see her son so happy... so yes for all that I am a WILSON lover. Its has not gone that well for him upon his return... but the team right here and right now are mostly HIS team. So his tactics may have been flawed this time around... but he did have the balls to let some of our youngsters in the door... he did take a few risks. Yes I am one of the Danny Wilson Lovers and I am proud to say it too. I wish Lee Johnson all the best , and I think we may have uncovered a young new manager who can take us places , which has perhaps never happened before... OH NOW WAIT.... 96/97.
100% agree. De forever the king. Lee cld be our prince in waiting. Right for dw to go. A brave and difficult decision by pc
Ha ha ha so you wanted us to keep a totally inept manager just because he was good 19 years ago. Give thi head a shake
Just count the number of Johnson signings in that starting 11 today. That is Wilsons team and bar injuries to key players would probably be still here. Sad its not worked out but show a bit of respect FFS. Fully behind Johnson and so glad hes got off to a great start but he hasnt even hit a rocky patch yet... thats where we will see how good he really is - and in the transfer windows + close season.
It's like talking to a brick wall, being able to spot a good player doesn't make you a good manager Wilsons proved that,
Wilson's team we are in a sequence of playing 7-10 winnable games lets hold judgement until the Bristol/Preston/**** u games are over. We beat a **** team at home.
We have played shot when we have won in 90% of games this season whether we have won or lost. Is this true or not? You will be first with Johnson out should the future not give you what you want.
We made them look like it when we played at there ground, today weasel a team unbeaten away since October look *****
We were awful at their place no excises from me. You were there what a miserable old day it was. It bough we were ok today but I'm not getting carried away.
I think some people need to learn some respect. Danny was sacked, the club move on but he will always be a legend in most fans eyes. It annoys the hell out of me that some seem to be revelling in his dismissal.
Tyke...im not going to rise to the goading that is taking place. No matter what anyone says positive about danny you will shoot them down in flames with your own personel views on his management or in your eyes his mis management of our team. what i will say in his defence is this.........I for one dont feel silly, i conceed the football we were watching was dire at times but that said there were certain things taking place both on and off the field of play that we fans werent privy to The majority of the team squad are wilsons signings, even osullivan was a piece of wilsons jigsaw that he highlighted and the club continued until they signed him. Its so easy to pull another man down when our views are tainted with bias and full of hate..... we will never know for sure how many games wilson would have won out of these last batch of games , if any .However what he would have done is held his values and dignity intact by being honest and neutral in his summing up. His values have got him this far in his career and the respect of his peers. I like many on here respect what he did for our club on both occasions so no i dont feel silly i feel sad actually... that it didnt work out right for him this time..... Danny wilson cleared out the dross that were inturn milking our club dry picking up large wage packets and showing little in return depending who you believe
