    looked a bit tricky yesterday.
It looked flat but the number of times the ball seemed to bounce awkwardly and players miscontrolled and passed poorly.
I suppose the wind played a part but I was surprised how badly Warsaw messed up especially in the first half.... as did we.
It didn't do the likes of Pearson any favours at all.
    No matter.

It won't help our already shocking pitch that we drench it before games.

I said exactly that to my mate at the game. The grass seemed to have been cut too short, it'd definitely been cut since Tuesday nights game. In the first 10 / 15 minutes it was bobbling about all over the place. Perhaps Johnson requested a shorter playing surface?

I don't agree, it's the fact it's too dry and rutted that makes it hard to play football on. Saturating it minimises this for a period.

Its not well maintained. Mainly due to the club not spending what they should on it. If I recall we lost a good groundsman because the club would not spend appropriately on pitch maintenance

Our pitch has been shocking for the past 4-5 years after roughly November time. Either spend more on it or if it's the groundsmans fault, get a new one in. Donnys has some right hammer with all caravans that park on it midweek and still looks better than ours.

we used to have one of the best pitches around. didnt our groundsman go to wembley?

if so then maybe he should be out next signing to get him back again.

With the technology aviailable to groundsmen these days there is no excuse for a playing surface like that. Back in the day when ours was one of the best surfaces in the country all reserve and high profile youth games were played on main pitch. If the manager wants to play a passing game as was evident yesterday then some money wants spending on it.
