I cancelled my account with them when I vacated a flat in Harrogate last week. My packaging arrived today and I have duly packed the box and cables etc as requested. What shocked me next though was that they were inviting me to take my parcel to the "nearest" Collect Plus store for free despatch. Guess where they are suggesting, bearing in mind that I am on the South Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire border? NEWPORT, South Wales!! They are having a laugh surely? There must be a more local despatch point! It would be cheaper for me to use my local post office and pay the full parcel cost myself. Help please - anyone else returned Virgin equipment lately?
Yeah but it was just round the corner from me in York. Think they are all over the place though. I'm sure I've used the cost cutter on Poggy Road before for something else.
I've got thirty days to send it back. Their website is throwing a wobbly at the moment. I got the Newport result when I texted my postcode and that was their response. Obviously not right. Maybe have another look in the morning before setting out for Lanky Land
There are thousands of collect plus stores, there'll be one just around the corner. Go on their website to find a store or just put Collect Plus in to Google maps. Edit, forget the google maps bit, doesn't work, but I can assure you, once their website is back up, you'll be able to find dozens of places to take it all near you.
Well I assumed that was the case - just curious that the text enquiry came up with such a ludicrous result. Now if we were playing Cardiff midweek I would pop it down there on the way, but seeing as we are not.....
