Be interesting if they sell the lot. 50 pi**ed up blokes at the front looking for the odd seat.

Many clubs do the same in seemingly liking making the job of their stewards harder. It shouldn't be difficult for them to allocate a seat. Then again it's better than the many clubs in this league that don't give a match stub to POTD customers.

Aye - but not many do it when there's a chance it could sell out. Chaos at 3.05pm.

I got my ticket last Thursday, it as a row seat number and gangway on it
I asked for it as far back as possible, and she never said its a free for all.

Oldham tickets are here but please allow us time to process all the orders before coming to collect. Looks like they've made it unreserved.

Doesn't make any difference. Go to any Barnsley away game and the same set of youngish lads who sing all the songs are sat as close to the home fans as possible. Either they know the layout of every ground in the country, know which seat numbers correspond to where they want to sit, get down to the ticket office before anyone else and snap those seats up, or they just sit where they like. Anyone think it's the former?

Turn up at five to three. Spot bairns who can get served who have baggised that corner. Mob up. Make noise.

The end that we are in is split into two - they only use half of the stand unless the demand is there for the full end so maybe half of it will be designated seating (first batch of tickets sold) and the other half sit where you want

The home fans who sit in that end have been relocated to other areas of the ground. They must be expecting Barnsley fans to fill it.

    Quite badly.

Lots of young hammered clowns in their normal "Ponty" position.

Gangways blocked by standing drunk fans, stewards to scared to do owt about it. Horrible scrum to get through to toilets/food stalls etc, any kids trying to get through would be in danger. Drinking beer and smoking going on by boozed up fans in stand watching match. Really poor stewarding / policing.

Had to stand whole 90 minutes cos those in front wouldn't sit down.

Good atmosphere though having said that, singing was almost non-stop. Poor game, we got the lucky breaks that mattered in their box, but good set piece delivery helps. Thought their sending off was a bit harsh but it didn't matter anyway. Need to play better at Orient, more composure needed.

It was utter chaos at the back and in the gangways. Loads of fans being told to sit down but no seats for them to sit in.

Loads of seasts for them to sit in to be fair, there was a row of about 8 seats behind me and a few to the side. there just wasn't enough seats at the back and to the new stand side

They were asking the stewards to find seats where they could sit together but from where we were you could only see the odd spare seat here and there. Unreserved seating is unworkable when the stand is sold out.

to be fair Mario if there are seats available they should sit in them . If they can't be arsed to get there early to get seats for their group so they can sit together is their hard luck. Otherwise u sit where u can and get on with it and watch the game you have paid for instead of ruining it for everyone else blocking views and gangways because they want their hands holding by their pals.

Not saying the unreserved seating policy was the correct decision by any means but I am saying that people need to act like grown men instead of fannys

I agree that unreserved seating is crap, but you only had to walk up or down the gang ways and there were lots of seats available. I was sat in the second block from the new stand, like i said there were lots of seats around me

altough looking at this pic, I couldn't see the far side of the stand, why was that section closed off, what were the segregating. they said they couldn't sell the full stand because it was unreserved seating, yet it seams they closed off the extra space

My instinct in that situation would be to go down and walk along the bottom. The photos on Twitter show that there were indeed empty seats down there.

Strange how opinions differ. I loved the fact that it was unreserved, I think most away games should be. The problem is that people don't always use their loaf. Today for example, I thought it was great that the main singers could conregate at the top. I loved the fact that me and mates (who got into the stand a bit late) could head down and all stand together, not inconveniencing anyone. I loved the fact that some kids to my right could go and sit in a row of empty seats and run up and down when the singing got loud. I thought it was great that, by and large, like-minded fans could congregate together, reducing tensions and increasing enjoyment. Clearly, there were problems and incidents where people were selfish or ignorant, but that's down to the idiocy of individuals rather than the unreserved seating policy.
