70 mins and there is the clincher - the third scrappy goal today but who cares! Once again a peach of a cross from CH from near the right touchline found J O'S who headed towards goal and Nyantga slammed in to make sure. Could have hit the post, could have hit the bar - no idea! Too many people blocking my view!

    Should win this now :D

72 mins - and there is Pearson's customary booking. Didn't look much more than a push in the back but the Oldham man went down as if he had been stabbed. And of course they all kicked off, trying to get him sent off.

He's a bit of a hothead is young Pearson and he needs to try to control it a bit. However, considering all the bad fouls on us in this game I think the ref was trying to appease the home crowd.

You must have been next to me - the guy totally lost it for no reason - but he was dressed in stone Island so it must be ok to some - personally wish he'd been thrown out

i got there early on saturday with my lad, 1.30 ish we were in ground, got some great seats back row near the gangway where the unopened seats were, by time 3pm came along the dogs abuse fans were giving stewards was silly really , there were two coaches came fairly late in and it would have been easy for the stewards to open up the empty seats, but listening to the stewards alot earlier , there were 2800 seats in that stand and they were expecting 2500 Reds fans, so there were plenty of empty seats at the front, and the fans giving out the abuse did not help the cause in changing anyones mind in opening up the empty seated area, As for standing up , it was to be expected , and most of first half we all stood up , then all of a sudden everyone sat down was very weird , there was one fella stood up though about 4 rows from top no one stood up in front of him at all and he took it upon himself to stand all game, ignorant to the uppmost IMO and my lads but hey each to their own

88 mins - Jabo the Hutt has only been on about a minute and he's in the book already - "not retreating". He didn't have much time to retreat and the Oldham player slammed it at him knowing what the result would be. Ref should just have a word with both players in this case.

Bailey came on for a possibly injured Pearson and is looking neat and tidy as ever.

Empty seat update - there have been rows of empty seats throughout the game. I suppose "hard" people couldn't lower themselves to go down there, could they. I'm not advocating baton charges but surely the security staff have it in their power to move people where gangways are blocked. Some grounds you get shouted at for standing on the yellow lines for two seconds while deciding whether or not to go back.

Stupid situation, fuelled by even more stupid people.

92 mins - stand up young Mason "Van Basten". Under pressure he does a double twist to beat two men but is hacked down by the next one.

    What HAVE we got here?:)

94 mins = I thought on Saturday that Lockwood blatantly body checked Scowen and I still stand by it. Did a nice teddies out of the cot routine but his side can be glad they only had one sent off. Just my opinion of course

Finally all over. More war of attrition than pure football but who cares. Three more in the bag and two winnable games this week, but it is going to be a heck of an achievement to get to 8 straight wins.

One or two were slightly below par today but the pitch won't have helped. Our lot can play better football than teams like Oldham but I will take a win anyway it comes.

Did everyone get to see the game though? If everyone was standing up? Did all the kids, or the old folks?
Who cares?... as long as you did.

Did the innocent people turned back on a bus see the game? No, because two banned fans didn't give a s#it.

    Who cares though?

I almost don't speak my mind about things like this, but today I had to. The poster just shows his ignorance. Many more like him take the view and they will probably be the ones who sing the stupid "we'll do what we want" song. Every club has them, it will always be so but I want nothing to do with it. I should have known better when the mob started to gather where we were sitting. but I stupidly stayed put, along with the two others I travelled with.

In future though I am going to put as much distance as possible between me and the brain dead

Worst day I had watching Barnsley was at Leicester the day we got relegated. Me, my Mum and sisters.
The fans behind us were begging folks to sit down. They had elderly relatives who simply could not stand all game. We relayed the plea to the lads in front. They told us they could do what they want.

We then endured the whole of the first half
"It's a football match, not the theatre"
"Bet you've never been to a game before"
"Move seats if you don't like it" (Where in a sell out crowd, exactly?)
"What do you lot know about football anyway"
"Bet you only started supportiing us when we got promoted"

On it went, until my Mum was so distressed she moved away, with my sisters.
Stupidly, I stood my ground, and refused to give them the satisfaction of having seen us off.
The second half I didn't see any of the game, because for 45 minutes I was the subject of the most vile abuse possible. From our own supporters.
Because we asked people to sit down, like they're supposed to.

I cried that day in the ground. Not because Barnsley got relegated, (though I was gutted), but because I just felt so utterly helpless, surrounded by people who just had a total disregard for anybody but themselves. Sad thing is, I've seen it over again, and whilst I avoid it now, it's not always possible to escape it.

If you want to sit down and watch the match , sit in the empty seats at the front , simple int it. Moaning at idiots is a sure fire way of making yourself look as daft as them when theirs seats at the front, I don't mind I'll sit down if I can if not I'll stand but if I had to sit down I'd go to the front where I could because I'm not a complete knobhead
