Extended lead over Peterborough and +2 goal diff over em. Sheff Utd not moved away. Better position that start of evening so I'm ok with a point and clean sheet.
I'd have definitely taken the table looking like it is now before kick off. Picked up a point on the majority of our rivals or a brilliant opportunity missed? I'll go with the former!
I agree. Always thought tonight would be tough. Next 3 games will make or break the play offs I reckon. Preston, Bristol & the Blunts.....
That point could see us in play offs. Need good results to keep coming. The other teams in for play offs have some hard matches also. Need to beat blunts
I'd have taken that at kick off. Not arsed if we deserved it or not. Results are vital now, performances a bonus. And practically every club in the division has summat to play for in every game such is the tight nature of it. Orient are no mugs. Their supporters are saying that's the best they've played in a long time. Onto Saturday and another huge game. I'll take another point.
Dunno... Clean sheet - bonus Not lost - bonus Not played good and got a point - bonus Played a team in the relegation spots when you're challenging for the play offs in the last third of the season.... I doubt MK, Swindon, Sheff U would have been as happy with a point. But on the bright side it's better than 4/5 weeks ago.
To be fair though, we're not as good as MK Dons or Swindon, and although we're on a great run, we all know it. Sheff Utd aren't happy unless they're winning the Premier League and galloping through Europe, which never happens. That's why they're so tragic and such a figure of fun. We're happy with a point away from home, looking forward to the game on Setdi. They're thinking about slashing their wrists and calling for the head of a manager who has them in the play-offs, after sacking another manager that had them in the play-offs a couple of years ago and doing **** all since. It's much more fun being us. Our board may be too trigger happy, but the sackings don't come about after complaints from the majority of us. Live life, drink beer, support your local club and take the positives out of everything you can, including a draw away to Orient. It makes you feel much better.
We've had a bipolar season a bit like this board, only explanation l can give it. How can you go from looking over your shoulder at the relegation places to 3 weeks later being play off hopefuls, and in the last third of the season.... To top it all off this young side needs a couple of seasons bonding in this division, we'd be cannon fodder for the league above.
Would we be better staying down for another year, or going up and coming straight back down, but with players experienced at playing at the higher level...
