Can't get my head round why some "experts" decide from minute one that a certain player is gash, and because their heads are so far up their arse will continually slag said player off despite of performance. Thoroughly second Poet's post

Bailey good again today. I keep thinking there's a big piss take going off that I'm not in on cos I never hear him get any stick at the matches yet I come on here & he gets slated.

    Waste of a shirt!!rubbish

I've said all season he's the unsung hero when he plays and could easily have been motm today although o'sullivan definately deserved it today..All in all Bailey has proved yet again he can do anything Pearson can..

Did well today. Got on the ball and spread it about nicely without taking any unnecessary risks. Got stuck in and was always available. Played some nice one-twos to set up attacks.

He may play a 6 yard sideways pass buts there's a point to it. By passing and moving he creates space for himself and others, takes their strikers and advanced midfielders out of the game . I'd much rather he did that than attempt to play a killer pass every time he gets to ball when there isn't one on. Football isn't played in straight lines.

If he's not your 'type' of player it doesn't make him a bad player. Every team has one nowadays. I'd rather watch him than some outdated 'kick and rush' style of football.

When we are in possession, Pearson DEMANDS the ball a little bit more than Bailey does. That might be a confidence thing.

I find it hard to criticise anyone today, in what was a very tough encounter.

Bailey played well today - fact - doubt that certain people passing negative comments were at the game ( as usual ). broke play up: changed the direction of play with first time balls especially down the ride hand side and got stuck in.
Good team performance today: missed both Scowen and Pearson for what they bring to the team.Gallagher wouldnt have had half the time with Josh snapping round his ankles. Our goal was a damm good move and fair play to Jabba

    Thanks for the compliment!

We just about gaffered the top team in the division today with no Pearson or scowen! As we all know what midfield means to winning football matches I think bailey has proved his worth in the position.....

No, why would it be? I dont see Pearson shooting outside of the box, same player, different ages.

    Possibly.

You must be one of those people who thinks that a midfielder doesn't need to be able to tackle/beat a man/play a through ball or shoot but if he can come short and pass it six yards square or backwards then he's class. Not for me ta.

I had him as my MOTM today, James. I'm not for or against Bailey. I think he's been average in the main for us. But he's had good games and today was another. Made us tick. In my opinion like.

Opinions pal. For me the the knives are firmly stuck in the back of certain players and no matter how well they play the knife wil stay where it is. Try looking at games objectively and not have a player starting on a minus ten rating. Any neutral will have said that Bailey had a good game today.

    Not for me Andy.

I was disappointed to find out Scowen and Pearson were both out. It's clear for me that Wilson woke up to Bailey's inadequacies and Johnson doesn't rate him so any point with him in CM is a good one.

You must not be a fan of Pearson or Hourihane then?

Nah. Pearson's goal against Port Vale. Bailey wouldn't have scored that in a million years.
