Perhaps we missed a trick when the PNE fans unfurled the big Tom Finney flag, with the picture of the great man. We could have had a big picture of Dale Jennings with the name Tom Fatty.

Bairn? He's a professional athlete who is stealing a living right now. Any criticism he's getting is down to him, his lack of professionalism and is totally justified right now. He has the ability to be a very good player in this league but for reasons beyond the control of fans who post on here he can't be arsed to get fit enough to realise his potential.

Got the stats on his body fat ratio have you. John Hendrie, Gwyn Thomas,Norman Dean,Ronnie Glavin all had cleb on apparently. You or I don't know if its muscle or flab but one thing I do know is that if he reads this forum which I suspect he does, then it's hardly going to give him a gee up.

Doesn't matter if its fat or muscle does it? It IS affecting his ability to do the job that he is paid handsomely to do. If its fat then its embarrassing, if it is muscle then he needs to change career. He is a an athlete and certain disciplines require different body types and muscle mass. You don't see stick thin sumo wrestlers and long distance runners don't have huge biceps and thighs. The sooner he realises that the better.

And why should the customers have to encourage him to get in shape to do his job? His career and ability to earn a living should be the encouragement. Its about time some footballers took a bit of responsibility

Just feel that this uninformed vitriol isn't helping Jennings or BFC

Then the solution is for him to be professional and take his job seriously isn't it? Which is least helpful for the club? Customers complaining about the unprofessionalism od one of the players (,essentially a product we buy) or said player taking the piss out of the club, costing the club an absolute fortune and making himself unavailable for selection due to his decisions?

To be fair to SuperTyke, Lee Johnson has said more or less the same (Jennings needs to get into shape) in the press.

The difference is the aforementioned put in consistently good performances. Also in an age where players were not financially rewarded like they are now & were sportsmen, not athletes, which the top players are now.

Jennings has managed about half a dozen in total.

He has regressed since joining us & I agree should be offloaded at the earliest opportunity & give a shirt to someone who wants to work hard to keep it.

There's got to be a reason for his regression , has he lost interest in the club, maybe this is just his natural body shape as he turns into a man. I doubt its just that he's greedy as he'd just have a fat gut. Do the club need to take some responsibility also, they have let one of their most expensive assets become practically worthless.

He's clearly lost motivation for whatever reason, could be a boat load since he's a human being. I'm sure he'll get fitter when it gets closer to his contract running out.

I hope MK Dons go up and his pal Robbo comes in for him in the summer, may get half our money back... Don't think he has a future here or we wouldn't keep bringing wingers in infront of him
    Am sure he knows it..

Anything about it being "his natural body shape" or "some people put on weight more easily than others" makes me laugh. He uses up energy running around. He takes in energy from eating. If the first number is smaller than the second he gains weight, if not he loses it. Anything else would violate the fundamental laws of physics and the universe. Let's not pretend there's nowt he can do about it. There definitely is, and it's not too much to ask for him to sort it out when he's on the money he's on.

I think unfounded speculation on a bulletin board will sort the problem. It nearly always does.

The club is in a position to know the details, so without knowing the details you should wind your neck in.

What's that supposed to mean? That the basic laws of physics and conservation of energy/mass don't apply to food?

Because some people (like me) can eat loads of shitty food, not exercise and not put weight on. Others put weight on easily. Evidence is all around you.

Yes, exercise is crucial if you're gaining weight but folk can be on medication, suffer various medical conditions etc. I'm sure the club are aware of his gain in weight and have spoken to him about why.

My point isn't that he most definitely isn't just sat about eating crappy food and not doing enough exercise. It's we don't know what other factors might be involved. Judge not....

You can not metabolise/absorb nutrients from food (or have a tapeworm) and not put weight on, but your body can't conjure energy/mass from anywhere other than what goes in your gob. Ultimately it's within his control. If he eats at a calorific deficit he'll shift the timber. If he doesn't have the discipline to do it then there's a problem.

He looked at his most incisive when the catering lasses were carrying the left-over pies behind the goal.

He's not over weight due to being fat. It's all muscle. He's just over done it in the gym. His could go on a diet for year's, he won't shed the pounds simple as that.

Like another poster said if he wears a bigger shirt and shirts no bugger would know.
