You're pretty much guaranteed entry mate if you get down before 1:55pm. Earliest we've ever been at capacity by 2pm was the last two home games (other than Crawley). We need to be careful we don't give the impression that there's some widespread problem with people spending money. It might be half a dozen people at most, if that, which only helps half a dozen people in the queue if we turfed them out. Queue was up to 25/30 people yesterday, so there's always be a capacity problem.
What would be a a suitable time to kick someone out though? I mean, someone buys a beer, coke, pie and peas and then go and buy nothing else, what if the person who has one drink is driving? I got there yesterday about 1 had a drink, pie and peas, thats all. But if people are coming in and not going to the bar then i dont understand the point of them going in.
This is the reason I've never been in. If I didn't get in I have no idea what I would do for the rest of the time, hanging around the concourses doesn't sound very appealing!
Or you could always use the same tactic you used on me when I was on my dry January and ordered a can of coke I just got loud abuse from the bar staff and shamed into buying acorn blonde
I think they should stop the TV and announce at 2:15 for everyone to stand........ .... anyone spending over a tenner can sit.......... anyone spending between 5-10 can sit........ .... anyone spending 1-5 to sit..... ....leaving my lad standing as i have bought all the raffle tickets, pies, beer, coke ever since we have been going in.
Nah, I'd have to set off at around 12 from Leeds to get parked up and walk up to ground. Also, none of my friends have any interest in Barnsley at all so I'd be sat on my own with just a soft drink for an hour and a half.
tis frustrating i have been turned away twice, and the last match when Bruce Dyer was in it was well before 2 when we couldn't get in
I love Redearn's now it's become popular...much easier to get to the bar in t'Mount. This does help...
Me too unfortunately. Me and my dad really enjoyed it day we went in but next time it was one in one out and too late to head back up to our usual at The Dove. Which meant drinking under the East Stand which is proper grim and freezing. That's no criticism of Redfearns, shows how good it is and successful, but it's just not worth the risk. And we only have a couple of pints so can't really justify getting there for 1.30pm. Shame though cos it's probably my best chance of putting faces to names of the people of the BBS. But well done to those who've got it up and running and going from strength to strength.
It ll be V I P soon where only arse kissers get in, and for them that only go in for a warm which a suppose have the same right as anyone else, yer can all stand art side we rest on us snowmen, guna be a secret society soon with secret handshakes en all that.
