Agreed. Midfield of: ..................................... Bailey .................................... .................... Scowen ................ Pearson .................... ... Williams ................ Hourihane .............. O'Sullivan ... Berry as back up. Doesn't leave room for many defenders and strikers like, but with a midfield like that, who needs them? Winnall up top; Holgate, Cranie and Nyatanga in defence.
Neither were known for goals or setting up goals despite their obvious attacking intentions. If I had to pick one i'd say O Sullivan was slightly better. On saturday Stewart missed a sitter and in the first half put a great ball over from east stand side that someone should have got on the end of when the PNE keeper heistated. As easy as that and with a bit more luck he could have had a goal and assist on his debut.
If I could get what I want it'd be both signed on permanent deals for our 2015/16 Championship season.
Out of interest what designates the goalie? Is it the shirt? What if we wanted to put the goalie up front and someone else in the pegs at some point during the game?
You can swap players I believe so it is just the shirt that designates the gk. David James once came out of goal and went up front for City didn't he? I know for a fact it is done in amateur football.
JO'S would be my choice if I had to choose. Be great if we could get them both here permanently mind.
Both great loans. I would go for O'Sullivan on a permanent if we could only sign one due to the injury to Williams and O'Sullivan having already played under LJ. Hopefully we get them both.
Yes he did, they needed a win to get into the Uefa cup on the last game of the season. They had a shirt done up for him and everything as it had been pre planned by whoever was in charge then (Sven Goran Eriksson maybe?) In case they needed late goals. Think he got booked after 30 seconds. He replaced Claudio Reyna who apparently was deeply offended by a goalkeeper being seen as a bigger goal threat than him. Useless info of the day
