Why do we have the same people week after week stood outside Oakwell predicting a draw at half time? Don't get me wrong I don't mind if that's what they think but do they have to keep shouting it out,
Waste of Fu'cking time that, I used to do it every week I started buying 5 at every home game when we was in administration so I was pumping money into the club but in a controlled manor, where it was recorded, had I won it I would have donated it to the club, once Paddy took over the club and we where safe I went to having just one a week maybe two if I had a pocket full of change, I can honestly say I can count on one hand the amount of times I've caught the number being announced, the music is loud as thunder, the coach prices and ticket information is clear as a bell, as soon as it comes to doing the draw he whispers it into his bottom lip and holds the mic as far away as possible, I wonder how many times it's never been claimed.
From a betting perspective, ~31% of games are 0-0 at half-time and nearly 45% are draws. Its a decent bet when you can typically get over evens and sometimes 2/1 on the draw. That was taken from 63,000 games in a six-month spell last year across all leagues worldwide.
That's a good point. They should encourage other creative pastimes too though. Half time paint, half time paper mache, half time needle work...
