Should a new manager...

    ....come to a club with a firm idea of how he wants the team to play, tactics etc. and aim to get the players to play his way.

    Or should the manager change his plans/tactics if the players are not happy with what's being asked of them?

    A lot depends on when the manager takes charge. If appointed in June, then I would expect him to recruit according to the way he wants to play. If one comes in mid-season, I would expect him to adapt the style to the players at his disposal until he is able to bring who he wants.
