I know exactly nothing about horses but what is everybody's tips? As I say I know nothing about horseracing despite picking 3 of the top 4 of last year's race (might have been 4 of the top 5) cannot remember
Loads of threads about it already mate. Tips on the National though are like tips for the lottery numbers. Soll.
I've picked out chance du roy. Also backing the druids nephew as it did me good at Cheltenham . Probably have a couple of quid on Oscar Time too because I've got it in the sweepstake at work.
'Eight Furlongs' will win by a mile. Don't back 'Little Round Vegtables' though .....far too green. Hth
I am having a whole £1 EW on this, my oldest dog is called Oscar, he is 11 years old and that is getting to the top end of the age range for this breed, so this may just be the last National in his life and Oscars Time is 14 years old ,so this will be his last National too.
Dusty Carpet Never been beaten. I'm actually waiting on Sparky to give me his top tip. Had a couple of winners from him but the last tip he gave me is still running, I think. Or is on its way to the glue factory.
Typed a very long-winded reply to this only for the Forum to time out on me. Cliff Notes version: SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR ROCKY CREEK THE DRUID'S NEPHEW Best prices and backed pro-rata give you about 11/4 to your money. Arguably value, but admittedly not by much! Full reasoning available on request!
Have wrestled with this, Ponty. Fact is, I think Jonjo and JP have known about AP's intentions for a while, and I think there's a suspicion this has been marked out for his send off. But moreover, the Carlisle form from November (won six lengths) looks handy, and the horse won the Irish National last year. Jonjo has apparently mentioned it as a future Gold Cup contender. So while I can see the argument that its price is influenced by sentiment, I think there are too many hard facts to leave it out of calculations.
