I'm manning a stand at a techy conference next week and there is a drinks reception in the exhibitor hall on Monday night. The organisers theme this every year and this years theme is "retro". The brief is: "To help drive delegates to your stands and to tie in with the theme we would like each exhibitor tocome up with a game that can be conducted at their booth/Pod. This must be of a Retro nature –anything goes!" Anyone got any good ideas? Ideally it would be something competitive so we can offer a prize to the winner. I have thought about setting up a retro arcade game like paceman or space invaders. Anyone got any other ideas?
What's the name of the conference? Maybe there's an old 80's arcade game that could be a play on words?
Ludo Jenga connect 4 tiddley winks snakes and ladders you can get a whole box of them too, a Compendium of games. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Highridge-B...429025992&sr=8-2&keywords=compendium+of+games HTH
Sharepoint and evolution in the same sentence ....................... what next ? "Sheffield United, everyones 2nd favourite team" ?
OOh. Could be an option. Need to make it competitive so we can have a prize for a high scorer or person best at whatever the game is. I guess best goal difference against the computer could be one option. Depends how long a game is though. Ideally we want a quick turn around
you mean it is going to be Free ? Must admit I don't use it to its full potential, but I don't really know it. Most places seem to make it ovecomplicated. Was glad to leave it with Shane & Co.
I remember a bloody ace footy game I played it in the bowling alley out towards Dodworth (forget the name of the bowl) but was an electric job... the players were in slots on the length of the pitch, you had a set of switches at either end of the table, Up and the individual player went up the pitch down and he came back, the goalie was controlled by a sort of a dial stick out of the case behind the goal. I bet they are as rare as 'Hens teeth'... but it was bloody superb fun.

As Brunner suggested you can get most retro games through mame - have a flick through there. Defender would be a good one - loved and hated that game in equal measures
