Surely we are due a statement from Ben regarding how and when we will recruit in order to "encourage" people to renew.

I'm buying before the end of April but I wonder how many are thinking that they just won't bother next season. It will be interesting to see just how season ticket sales compare to last season.

We'll lose a few, but too many, our hardcore will remain and that's about 6500 these days with 4/500 away followers each week, it's a way of life for our regulars and it's hard to get out of the habit

Instead of that the best way to sell season tickets early for next season would be to announce a decent signing as soon as the Rochdale match is over. If as early as the first half of May we announce we've signed for next season permanently a JOS/Waring season tickets would sell quicker from the intent shown by the board.

I wouldn't be guaranteeing something that I knew for a cast iron fact was out of my control.

I'll be renewing mine in the next few days. If I wait until after the 16th the payment goes on my May credit card bill for payment in June. Easy.

I don't quite follow this "I'm not buying one unless we sign Waring/Pearson/O'Sullivan" etc. My decision on whether or not to go and watch my football team has nothing to do with who is playing. I go because it is my football team - it's that simple.

I've been exiled for most of my adult life up to the last couple of years so there is no way I am missing any more home games, barring unforeseeable circumstances . The fact that I am saving a load of money by buying early is just a bonus. I'd get one anyway.

good man. i accept all the reasons why people choose not to buy one. but i also think those buying early, should be rewarded.

Renew early and we promise you won't have to watch Kane Hemmings next season.

Yeah but we can't guarantee Jennings won't be here next season. More false promises.

Well I was thinking more along the lines of the owner and (for reasons I disagree with) financed but yes the player and agents make decisions too.

With that in mind is it possible that somebody could say something in good faith believing something was going to happen only for the other people involved to change their mind later?

Doubtless, but when you've got players on lucrative contracts, nothing is certain until they sign an equally lucrative contract elsewhere. Being an agent, Mansford would know this.
