Re: not only can they be violent and rip apart players Massive multiplayer online role playing game Not sure how that translates to cyber sex though to be honest
Re: not only can they be violent and rip apart players Yes basically. Dungeons and dragons type games but online
Re: not only can they be violent and rip apart players So who on here has sneaked into an "X" rated film under age? I'll hold my hand up and say "Guilty". Is there a difference between that and playing an 18 rated game?
How young are we talking here? I mean JamDrop mentioned something about a lad in Year 2 who wrote a story about GTA. But at 13-14+ you should let them play it. They're at that age what understands whats actually going on. 13 and under i wouldn't let them play anything like that.
Re: not only can they be violent and rip apart players Moving pictures hadn't been invented by the time I was eighteen!
Thing is though, if all their mates are playing something like GTA at 13/14, you've got something to think about. It also depends on the character of the child, the moral high ground crew on here will always say no to stuff like this but it isn't always that black and white.
Re: not only can they be violent and rip apart players Very irresponsible to let kids play too much of that.
Good job football fans don't get into clans - can you imagine the problems that might cause? :-/ I wouldn't allow my children to play GTA - as an adult I've played it and some of the things shock me - I'm even more shocked when a 6 year old I teach has played it
Re: not only can they be violent and rip apart players well that's my point i am sure we all watched Horror films on sleep overs well before we were 18 so what's the difference ???
Re: not only can they be violent and rip apart players I was going to post a link to an original "what the butler saw", but it was much too racy for this site
Re: not only can they be violent and rip apart players If you've raised the kid properly, you should be able to buy them any violent game, and have faith that they wont go outside and try and chop someone's head off. Sex and nudity in games is a different matter altogether, but i think it's not a blanket "no under 18s should play it", at age 14+ most kids will be looking at porn online anyways, so what's the difference?
