No one in the stand where Bryn Law is, not many in stand at side, big game for them too.

No change then from Division 4 in 1968. Went there with a work colleague and we sat in the main stand on old cinema seats. At half time the announced that they would be running transport to their next match away at..... In front of me a rather large and well attired Barnsley fan shouted, "What are you providing, a motorcycle and sidecar?"

I'm not going to dig at them because of their poor gates. To do so makes us look like Wednesday fans. You have to admit that what they have achieved this season on an absolute shoestring budget is remarkable. Keith Hill may be a Pollock but he's sure doing a great job.

I wonder if all 1,900 of them will turn up at Oakwell if they've a chance of pipping Chesterfield to 6th?

Ask any Dale fan who went tonight, we expected it to be less than 2000. The promotion of the team to the town isn't good enough, the Town's response isn't good enough. But don't bother calling us tinpot, we are fully aware of it and wish we'd do something about it.

Admit it, you'd love to see us stop Sheff U from getting that playoff place....

To clarify the situation: If both Chesterfield and Sheff U lose on Saturday and we do the really difficult bit in beating MK (doubtful), then we come to Oakwell knowing a win gets us a playoff place no matter what happens at Bramall Lane.

I hope you get into the top 6. I dislike Hill intensely but you deserve some success for all the years of pain.

    Dare to dream.

I hope you come to us on the final day needing just a win to confirm a top six spot. Because it'd be win/win for me. If you won, the reaction on here etc would be summat to behold. If you lost, the reaction on here would be summat to behold.

Unfortunately, I don't see you beating MK. But then, I didn't see you beating Orient either...

Can see both United and Chesterfield losing though this weekend.

Interesting times, good luck with it, and whatever happens it's been yet another stellar season for Dale. But getting just 2,000 fans to turn up in a town the size of ours is just incredible frankly. Tinpot? No. Just sad. Because this has been a decade to remember for the club and town. For all Keith's ability as a manager of Rochdale, could it be that his attitude puts a lot of folk off? I mean, I'm told that in the dark days prior to his arrival you didn't get sub-2,000 gates.

I doubt it either of those wishes will come true. MK are steaming full tilt for second spot and will not slip up against Rochdale. Whether there is anything on the result or not Rochdale will NOT win at Barnsley

I would rather ISIS, Hitler, Bin Laden and Sheffield United get a play off place than Keith Hill. He's done a brilliant job at the club, before he left for us and now but he's a complete ****. I have no problem with Rochdale and would hope they could get that play off place if it was under John Coleman a few years ago but with Hill being back in charge, I couldn't think of anyone worse to see do it.

We did, our support has never been great but it's the missing hundreds that worry those who still care. Under Hill in 2008 when in the playoff zone in L2 we got 700 more home fans against Barnet on a Tuesday night than we did for a game against Swindon on the exact same date when challenging for the playoffs in L1. Last week the dream was more realistic as well.

The point of Hill's attitude may well be an issue, but it could be almost ignored if the club managed the situation better eg. Told him to avoid mentioning fans/didn't report his comments about fans on club websites/spoke to the local media about how they report on the club. All small things, but there's plenty of small things that aren't done at Dale and that leads to crowds like tonight. It's incredibly sad because the supporters have and are prepared to work to improve matters, but nothing changes.

There's a new marketing manager now, let's see what happens.

1,914 for a club having their best (or second best?) ever season, from a town of 95,000 is unbelievable to be honest.

Still doing better than us though.

I dont care about Keith Hill, or Rochdale. I dont work with rochdale supporters. The only reason I wouldn't wan't rochdale to get in the playoffs is because it would mean them beating us and I want to see us win every game.

Otherwise I would be more than happy to see them pip sheff united and knock them outta the playoffs

Ordinarily Chesterfield's game v Bristol City looks very tough but having already won the title and with nothing to play for its a worry they'll take it easy. To be honest I'm just glad we won tonight (deservedly) and can take it to Saturday - now we'll see what Chesterfield and Sheffield Utd do with a little bit of pressure on them . Its a shame we've got no chance v Mk Dons .
