Doesn't need to be the best player we have ever had, contributed much or even played many games... Just wondered who everyone's favorite was? Somebody you just really liked and wanted to do well. I'll start - Jason Scotland and Martin Bullock.
Anderson de Silva was quality. De Zeeuw my all time favourite. Based on some of the abuse he gets I've always wanted Mvoto to do well.
Jacob Butterfield for me top talent but got something missing from his game that would make him a top level midfielder, watched him from a far since he left but seems not to have found and added to his game what's missing, really hope he dose one day and gets another crack at a premier league club. Seemed a decent lad in his interviews too, was absolutely gutted his last season for us was spent in doctors room and not on the pitch wish he'd given us one more season but didn't begrudge him his move to a top league he deserved it
Allan Clarke, was the reason I 1st started watching Barnsley. Then Aylott and Glavin were my favourites too.
In chronological order: Currie, O'Connell, Taggart, Eaden, Marcelle, Barnard, Hignett, Sheron, Shipperley, Hassell, Howard, Foster, Anderson, Steele, Trippier, Butterfield, Davies, O'Brien, Perkins, Mellis, Dagnall, Paddy, Berry, Winnall, Hourihane and Scowen. Top three being Hignett, O'Connell and Hassell,
Was a huge fan of Hallfredsson (sp?) he had a lot of talent. Diego Leon, he had all the skill but just not suited to 11 a side mens football really. Anderson was class Craig Davies for his penchant of scoring worldies. Scowan at the moment.
