Hugo Colace (went downhill quickly), Ferenczi, Howard, Steele, Butterfield, Anderson, Campbell-Ryce (when he was playing in the opposition's half) and probably more that I can't fully remember. Of this current squad it's probably Hourihane, Berry, Scowen and possibly Bailey. Also, a mention for Jennings as he has the potential to destroy this league but I'm not sure we'll ever see it.
Ronnie Glavin, Steve Cooper. Hard to narrow down as there have been lots of players I "respect", different in many ways - some oozed quality, some were graters of limited ability but no less valuable to the team at the time. Think it was Ray McHale that once said he used to tell Glavin not to worry about tracking back cos he'd cover for him as long as Glavin kept getting McHale a win bonus.
Thought Hallfredson was a great footballer. He could pass a ball better with his knee than many could with their feet.
I was gutted we didn't sign him - really pleased to see he's gone on to have a really good career in Italy.
Falling into my 'not anywhere near been the best laiker int team but I had a soft spot for 'em any ruard' catagory are.... Rammell, Lowndes, Gwyn Thomas, Fallon, Liddell, Cooper, Hume, Moore and shoot me down for John Pearson(sorry)
Danny Wilson. Even before his wonders as manager, he was the first player that was my 'favourite'. First shirt i had bought by my dad had 'Wilson 4' on the back. The fact he then went on to do what he did as manager just made me love him even more. Since then, Ashley Ward and Craig Hignett. There's many others i've liked, just not admired.
There are a few; Readers, Futcher (Paul), Ronnie Glavin, Ian Banks, Gwyn Thomas, Ashley Ward, Big Mick, Blackadder, to name just a few.
