I'd take Davies back. Not just because he is a good goalscorer, but he has a nasty ruthless streak that we have lacked at times this season. Whenever I watched him I always thought "I'd hate to have to mark him"
Aye, I'd have him. Only SSW comes close to him in the last 6-7 years. He'll end up at Rochdale though
stands back and watches? you've hardly unveiled a cure for cancer...................... for what its worth hes better than we have to pair with SSW
I agree with Tosh. and add that I don't think he would ever play as good as he did for us back in 2011/12
Really didn't rate Davies. Dreadful first touch & felt he got overrated due to scoring a few goals which were mostly down to having the best midfield we had in our championship spell behind him. Once that was broke up he was shocking & we ended up a lot better side with Harewood up front
I wouldn't have him back. I still remember the player he bacame with us so no thanks, I'd rather we spent money on a another player.
I liked him, but after the Birmingham game when he scored 4, leaving him with 8 goals from the opening 9 games of the season, his head was turned by offers from elsewhere and he simply gave up. He played 13 more games for us, scored just 1 more goal and was utter *****. I've no problem with him wanting to play for a bigger club and earn a better wage, but while ever he's playing for Barnsley he's got to give his best for Barnsley and he just didn't. It's not a case of being unable to forgive him, but if he did that once, he's capable of doing it again and I don't want that kind of player at the club. I doubt Keith Hill is too impressed with him either. Had Davies continued to play as well as he was capable, we wouldn't have had such a poor run of form and Hill may well have kept his job.
His latter displays were shameful. Remember that penalty that he blazed over the bar? I forget who it was against but it summed up his "Don't care, get me out of here" attitude. I don't think he would be any different now. He might even be jealous of the adulation that SSW gets.
Would be a great addition at this level. Nice gesture here from him, good lad. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...cues-stranded-pensioners-car-breaks-down.html
I would like a player of that calibre of course but he may well come back with "Billy Big ******" attitude. That we do not need. I hope we concentrate on developing our youngsters TBH and just a seasoning of experience. Even if we do not go up or get the Play-offs next season. The Bournemouth model is one to be looked at... it works.
