Nicola Sturgeon just been interviewed and what came out of it was that it will not be a case of the SNP helping Labour in a coalition but Labour helping the SNP. Nicola will be taking charge. What a turnaround. TBH Miliband will have to resign after this.
Almost certainly. Just discussing on BBC now that it could be as early as lunchtime tomorrow. Labour's disaster here can in large part be blamed on the union block vote that put him there in the first place. The country as a whole is generally wary of politics that are left of centre, and he comes across as anti business. Talking of "taking on big business" as if they are the enemy is all very well if that kind of rhetoric plays well with some, but people in general understand that these businesses, and the success of businesses is what keeps people employed.
One point that came over VERY badly for Ed Milliband was when he was asked in the question time debate whether he acknowledged that Labour overspent last time and he suggested that they didn't. If anyone who was wavering needed reassurance that this time they would be a safe captain of the good ship economy then that one sentence would have made their mind up, and not in the direction he wanted.
The gap in seats won between Labour and the Tories are actually getting bigger. Wonder what time it will be before the Tories take the lead? (Of course, I realise I am almost taking to myself by now, but it is only posting entries to myself that is keeping me awake. If I go and sit on the sofa then i'll be asleep in 5 minutes!)
I'm still here mate. BTW SNP lost their first seat. Shetland and Orkney. That bumbling oaf Carmichael held on by the skin of his teeth.
Simon Hughes gone now. Difficult yet to confirm just how bad this can get for the Lib Dems but it is certainly a disaster for them. Turning into quite a spectacular night.
Listening to his speech just now, that was a pretty big hint that he wil resign the leadership of the Lib Dems later today.

Danny Alexander next one gone from Lib Dems. Its a good job they wont be offered any cabinet seats this time round, there is no one left to fill them.
