One of the lads was in the Ponty End at half time outside smoking, he had one of your badges on...

The problem is, football fans in court are not treat this way in court.

What they could have done is disgusting, but there is no proof of it as yet and everyone in this thread and all over the internet is slating them for being wanted to speak to about the events.

    "I think they're guilty, Jay"

There speaks the reasonable man, the man on the Clapham omnibus, the officious bystander, yet the man who did not witness anything and has heard no untainted evidence.

    Corking post.

    Hang em

    I actually said.....

    <b style="color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-family: Helvetica, Geneva; line-height: 15.9899997711182px;">
I think they're guilty, Jay. I saw a few lads on twitter discussing this incident a day or two after the match who were present on that carriage, some even went as far as saying what these lads had said, which I won't repeat on here. Or maybe they were describing a separate incident? Dunno.

Going by social media it would appear that at least one or two of the lads pictured have been to the police and seem to have proved their innocence already. If that's the case perhaps we should halt the frenzied calls for them all to be hung, drawn and quartered. Either way, lets not simply assume they're guilty. Amazing how many people who weren't there seem to know what happened. Hope justice is done anyway, whatever that means.

And seeing as another poster has stated in this thread that someone on twitter has again shared what was said (that was abusive), which happen to be the same words pretty much that I wasn't going to repeat, I'd suggest that the folk involved in this are guilty, aye. Yep, I think so. Whether the lads photographed on the stills are those guilty parties, I dunno, but if I was a betting man I'd probably call them odds on favourites.

    But you crack on.

You said "I think they're guilty", mate.

How you could come to such a conclusion, and state it on a public forum, is a matter for you.

IF they are guilty they should be banned for life from watching us home and away.

IF they aren't guilty they should get in touch with the police off their own free will to clear their name to stop people thinking they are part of it.

It only matters what plod think, because they're the only ones who know what the evidence is, if they've got witness statements and cctv of the incident then they'll be charged, if they've not then they're fishing and hoping one of them will admit,

How will they clear their name now, do you think the Daily Mirror are going to tweet they've been cleared off all wrong doing ? That's it now pal they're guilty for ever

I think I've already made clear my thoughts on this. A woman and child were racially abused. Some reds fans are guilty. Whether it's those pictured, I really don't know. As already said, they may just be witnesses or lads the police want to rule out etc etc. But yep, I think the incident happened, I think some reds fans are guilty.

But they might not all be guilty but they'll be treated as though they are because they was there

All we know is that the police want to speak to the individuals pictured in the stills. We can assume the woman has identified them as being there, at least. After that? No idea. But as said, I saw folk discussing this incident on twitter in the aftermath and a day or two later. Discussing a group of reds 'fans' racially abusing folk on a train. So aye, I'm thinking that some 'fans' are guilty.

I hope the police collar those guilty and that they're named, shamed and banned.

This thread astounds me, thought I'd seen everything. If you're pictured come forward, identify yourself and clear your name. But they wont. Cowards. And this can **** right off. This clubs fans need to come together or our reputation is going to be irepairable.

You said a few posts ago they were odds on to be guilty. Now you're saying it was just some Barnsley fans. Which is it Judge White?

If you're man enough to shout abuse at a woman and her child, you should be man enough to take whatever punishment befalls you. Okay so some of them in the photos may not have done anything wrong, but they're not being pictured for no reason, if they were merely there then they should come forward and give what they know, and let the cowards suffer. I've never understood this mentality some people get in regards to all football fans being tarred with the same brush. I've been all over the country and never had any problems whatsoever; I've been directed into certain pubs or away from certain pubs by police and held at the trainstation for a while. It strikes me that you'll only ever find trouble if you go looking for it.

As Whitey says though I think the incident happened, but if you're posting photos of young lads and basically saying these are the accused, you'll have to show me proof before I start calling them scumbags demanding they're banned and criminally convicted, and naming names on social media or to the plod. The way police and the courts go about conviction groups of people is totally wrong, when you go to football everyone is going to the same place at the same time so sometimes you have other option then to be in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people, everyone who's every been to football will know that everyone is treated as a thug just because some are, and still people are all too happy to start pointing people out and branding them guilty without any evidence what so ever and it's totally wrong in any walk of live but when people know exactly what goes on with football fans and the way they're treated it's not right at all
