There must be a reason for this.

Nobody sells without securing the best price they can get.

    Please explain

I don't know, maybe the others offered the asking price straight away?

Don't worry, there's a better house round the corner. As my gran always said, 'everything happens for a reason'.

Mmmm. well if it's your dream home and you're not in a chain etc. then all will still be "subject to contract" and you ought still to be able to put in a higher offer.

Any buyer wants the highest price for their house.

Doesn't make sense at the mo.

Ah well, it means we can enjoy Florida now in 2 weeks rather than worrying about not having enough money and needing to get things organised. It also gives me a chance to get some credit history and improve our chances of getting a decent mortgage offer, I've already put some wheels in motion!

If you've been and got a car on finance that's a quality pun.

Thanks but I've done lots of research and I feel confident enough to look around, cheers for the offer though!

You've got a lovely house but it's a bit too near the hospital for me ;)
