Probably not, they'd be hard pressed to find a road without a constant stream of traffic on it. Anyway games like kerby, knockout Wembley, sport and three and you're in have been replaced by FIFA and football manager.

I'm not that nostalgic a person usually but I do think being forced indoors by parents petrified by the media into thinking they have to keep tabs on them all the time has made kids lives less happy. I rarely used to see either of my parents outside meal times in the holidays now my sisters youngsters are always underfoot.

I completely agree. We had nothing in terms of possessions compared to the kids of today but I have nothing but great memories from what was a very happy childhood. I wouldn't trade a single second of it for what they have now.

Can Portsmouth afford to do that, have they cleared off their debts?

Just out of interest, where did you grow up? Always called it 'One-Man Web' or 'Two-Man Web' round my end (Worsborough/Kendray) and had never heard of it being called 'Wembley' until I went to university!

It was always knock out Wembley in Sunny Darfield. Usually played when we didn't have enough to play a proper game even using 'goalie when'.

Think this is all caused by selling Eoin Doyle too cheaply in January. He's clearly been p!ssed off with the decision and probably feels he's done as much as he can with them if they're going to get rid of his best players.

Kerby used to be corsey edge round our parts. :)

Never heard of wembley (the game) but the other one for us was "one kick" against a nice big wall

'One touch' for us, but a classic! Also 'tigs' seems to be another one that changes depending on where you grew up. I remember thinking a bunch of kids from up Silkstone were posh as for calling it 'tag' and saying 'you're it' instead of 'you're on' like we did!
