My lad went on with my blessing on the last game. He was buzzing. Went on, came back off, well before the team wouldve come back it. They're never gonna do it straight after the 90 mins is done.

Post PNE match and Ian Evatt getting assaulted. That's not good. Shouldn't happen. Neither should any crime. 5-6k on the pitch, 1 kno8head spoils it, the rest were celebrating.

Tonite, Swindon fans on there. Getting booed! FFS, get the misery police number. Footy is hard enuff to finance to watch and even harder to enjoy sometimes.

As for the 'it's only a matter of time before a player gets stabbed' comments. Well let's see. If someone wanted to do that they'd surely do it off the pitch. Also let's stop all kids going to school in case they stab their teacher. Which has happened a few times.

Look, friendly, celebratory invasions IMHO are part and parcel of been a fan. Other types are not welcomed.
Some folk would ban clapping if they could. Miserable cnuts

On another note some fans enjoying themselves how they want to is stopping other fans enjoying themselves how they would like.the I want to do that so fek others attitude is not right IMO, surely obeying the law is the right thing to do.
On a personal level I'm long gone before pitch invasions.

At the end of the day, it's a bit of grass. Never saw what the fascination was even when i was a nipper. Been loads of players punched during pitch invasions, happened at Brammall lane a few times when they've been relegated. One day someone will get seriously injured. A pitch invasion is not comparable to going to school. It's not illegal to go to school but's illegal to carry a knife into school.

Going on the pitch as an adult is ****ing embarrassing.

Encouraging your child to break club rules and trespass on the pitch is poor parenting.

Going on the pitch as a teenager because you think you're really hard is again embarrassing.

I'm not sure I'm a poor parent?!? I didn't encourage him. He asked. I said yes.

Have you ever broke the speed limit? Drunk in a boozer after hours? Parked on yellow lines?

Get a feckin life, some folk in BBS need to live in a convent! As their morals seem to suggest its the only suitable place!

I've certainly done a lot worse in my lifetime than running on a football pitch.
So I'll keep me gob shut.

It's terrible parenting to allow your kid to run on, despite multiple announcements saying not to. What sort of message does that give your kid? "Oh, there's a sign there that says not to dive head first into this swimming pool, but my dad let me ignore a rule last time I got told one, so I'm sure I can ignore this too"

    Think about it.

Even if I had done them things I certainly wouldn't be proud enough of it to broadcast it over the Internet.

The fans who run on the pitch are an embarrassment to our club.

The parents who let their children run on the pitch are equally embarrassing.

Another one! I put this thread up to evoke conversation and debate. I expected it. And it's fair play.

My lad knows his limitations and I know mine and his. Going on the pitch was never going to endanger a life.

I'll ask again......, 'you ever exceeded the speed limit?', 'drove the morning after?' .......

I still await a reply from the 'other side' to see wether they've ever ignored multiple warnings and signs as adults but still managed to exceed the speed limit or pick up speeding fines and risked life's(as adults). Or gained parking fines. Or parked in disabled bays. Etc etc.

Some folk on ere are proper ........ (insert appropriate name)

If you must know, I've never got a speeding fine, or a parking ticket, or ever parked in a disabled spot (**** me, how hard is it to find a parking space that you resort to that).

Don't want to be a killjoy, and no doubt I'll be called a "miserable b*****d", but here goes.

Pitch invasions and repeated hooliganism are what caused barriers to be erected at football grounds. That, as we know, contributed to the biggest football stadium disaster in this country's history.

If we, as football fans can do amazing things like the charity walk to Bradford and the many respectful minutes' applause to commemorate good people, we ought to have the sense to remember the past and have some thought and consideration.

    Keep off the grass!
