Apparently Martin Cranie's in talks with Rotherham United.

But he could play at a slightly higher championship standard maybe like Fulham or Bolton

You honestly reckon he's better than Rotherham?

In my honest opinion, and that means nothing, he wouldn't get into any Championship sides, including Rotherham. Reckon he's a top League 1 defender but that's about it

Dunno mate, if we're gonna push for a play off spot, we could do with someone with a little bit of quality, especially with our young full backs either side as well as Nyatanga seemingly starting every game like he's still in bed.

    Any ideas?

Although I spotted this rock solid centre-back called ricardo santos who is tall, very strong and a great tackler who plays for Peterborough. Also he's only 19

Giggling. Top league 1? Give over, he's a league one relegation scrap candidate who is constantly outperformed by whoever takes over his position when he is missing from games.

At right back he has in the last season been outperformed by both Bree and holgate and in the middle outperformed by nyatanga, ramage and holgate.

    Bit harsh.

I see him as L1 standard myself, but one of the best in his position, mainly because of his technical quality rather than his defending. I won't miss him at all, and I'm still struggling to understand why we offered him that silly deal which hampered our dealings last summer when we couldn't get rid, not even to Blackpool.

But if he was on a L1 wage, you'd be struggling to find better at this level.

He won't be the answer to Rovrum's defensive issues though. He's not Championship quality. IMO.
