Absolutely no chance. His wages before took up half our budget and he's on even more at Brighton.

The striker who drifts out to the wing despite having no pace? No thanks!

We need to look forward, not back.

Unless he's ready to take at least a 50% pay cut, there is no way whatsoever he'll be playing for us next season.

Given his reported wage demands we have no chance.

I know he used to live in Darton when he played for us.

If he took a 50% wage cut he will still be only back to what he was on for us when he played for us in the championship. He'd probably have to take something like a 75% wage cut for us to afford him at this level.

Would be interesting to see who gets to big up their stats and take all the penalties?

Not for me, ta. On a reported 12 grand a week at Brighton. I would hope we're not paying anyone at our club these days even a quarter of that.

Am I the only one who would LOVE him to come back? He's the best striker we have had since Neil Shipperley.

Assuming the numbers stack up of course, I'd welcome him back to Oakwell.
