Good signing for Scunny, if they play him at right back. Could be a few boos when we go up to Glanford Park next season the way they keep on signing our ex's.
Wiseman was not as bad as some make out but his comments after he left mean his bridges are burnt in my opinion. I won't boo him though.
Erm Yes he was, all he can do is run fast, he cant tackle, he cant mark a man and he is **** at heading the ball, but apart from those things he was a great player.
In his defence, he was often played out of position at centre half, despite the fact that he couldn't jump or head a ball. Was okay at right back.
Keith Hill did him no favours at all but there was a period, after the shameful booing of him at Oakwell when he did improve and looked like he could be a decent player. I think the championship was probably a league too high for him but our team was full of players who were out of their depth. I'm not saying he was the best player we ever had but I don't think he was as bad as some make him out to be.
Scott Wiseman when played at right back is a very good player at this level. S****horpe will see that and probably benefit from it. Without this affecting too many on here, both him and Dawson are very good signings for them and will do well (attitudes not taken into context)
He was never shamefully booed. He was back in the team ahead of the dropped Hassell and Stones, in Keith's last game. After another Wiseman error cost us a goal, he was booed a little bit by a few wallies before chants about Hassell started. I think the boos were aimed more at Keith's decisions, than Scott himself. But, it's become one of those long-running BFC myths now, that he received dogs abuse throughout so I'm wasting my breath. As a footballer, he at times showed enough ability to convince me there's a decent second tier player in there. Unfortunately, he played for the majority of his time here like he couldn't be arsed, and he was the most feeble defender I've seen since Keith Brown. Just lacked effort. And so I'm not surprised some reds fans decided to dislike him for that. His comments upon departing put a full stop on it. Scunny have a decent right back for L1 if he's arsed. Good luck to the spineless get.
The bloke is a complete tosspot. Not happy from day one. Neither were we Scott. More than happy to take the club's money though. He's signed two reight ****ers theer has Mark Robins.
Your right, our no8 can just ping balls from anywhere on the pitch, take players on in any postion, get 20+ assists in the league, score 15 goals in the league. and deliver one of the best deadballs in the league.
Never understood all this hatred, to be honest I don't think I'd have enjoyed being booed most weeks. At least he was honest in his assessment of his time here and didn't spout the usual clichéd rubbish. And although he wasn't good enough for the championship I definitely think we've had worse! Good luck to him
Well maybe 'booed most weeks' is an exaggeration but he was clearly not a favourite. He also had to leave twitter because of the abuse he received. If he didn't enjoy his time here then fair enough. Hardly personal is it.
He received a grand total of three abusive tweets, two from the same bloke, Glen Dowle, a known bellend who abuses any of our players who have a bad game. He's still on twitter anyway, he just took time away from it, and blocked a load of reds fans. Including me, despite me never tweeting him before. He must have done twitter searches on his full name, seen folk like me saying "Scott Wiseman was ******* terrible this afternoon" and blocked us. But blocking on twitter stops you seeing their tweets. It's only a useful tool if you don't want to be able to see their tweets, or allow them to tweet you directly. So blocking someone who doesn't follow you, nor tweet directly to you, is ******* weird. Nicky Eaden told it straight - "that Wiseman doesn't know abuse, he wants to grow a ******* spine".
