I think the issues were with his club in India. Saw him post a video on Facebook of a dog balancing on the back of a motorbike last week, and he stated that it was his last day in Pune. So I'm assuming he's home now.
BFC and Bobby have had it sorted for a while. They were just waiting on the opposition cancelling an already arranged friendly so they could instead play us on the 18th, a bog standard BFC friendly with Bobby's testimonial integrated. It's not ideal, but it is what it is. I have that weekend off work so that's pleasing. I hope there's a good turnout for him. With it being the first chance to see the reds at home, and in the new kit etc, I'd hope plenty will show up. Although it'll be a bit strange seeing him play alongside the likes of Scowen, Hourihane and Winnall.
It'll be great to see him in a Barnsley shirt one last time. Also, on a totally unrelated issue, I noticed Swindon Town have released Andy Williams, their top scorer from last season.
He was meant to sign for dem blades, before Clough got the boot. I still expect Cooper to get that job, so maybe that move will be resurrected?
Rob Staton says 'sources' are telling him they've appointed their new manager. So expect an announcement shortly. Fingers crossed for Captain Elbows, or some other vile creature. If Adkins or Cooper get it, that's dem promoted.
He nearly did when Keith was manager, but Keith pulled the plug on a loan deal. Told him the next day "you can go to Scunny though".
