The times i've had The Pulse on the radio, just about every ad break from songs they have one of their players (dunno which one) telling people how cheap it is and to sign up and get behind the team. Great idea to do.

As for all this sixth business, if we don't make the play offs next season we will be looking for another new manager.

We bought him out of Oldham and gave him a three year deal here. Surely we'd be taking a longer term view this time? (Unless relegation threatens, like Danny was told).

That said, I know you've spoken to him!

    Conversation went summat like this....

LJ: "yeah, so we're looking at moving into the area properly, you know, and getting the girls sorted with their education..."

ME: "I'd chill art on that if I were you, pal.."

    LJ: "what's that?"

ME: "mate, you're Barnsley manager.. you've got another year at best unless you have us flying"

LJ: "arrr, right, I get you.. well, I aim to have us flying, I'm confident it'll happen so long as I can get the players in that we need.."

ME: "I hope so, but history shows that this board/owner have no patience and they'll have you out at the first sign of trouble.. if we're not challenging - at least - for the playoffs by the new year, they'll sack thi"

LJ: "I know how **** works, but as I say, I'm confident I'll get it right"

I then asked Ben the next day if LJ would be given time if it's not going to plan next season, and he said summat about Patrick making difficult decisions and wanting the best for BFC and that "Lee knows what is expected".

So at what point do those who sack and appoint managers (and identify players ?) take some responsibility ? Why is it only ever 1 man's fault ?

I trust you have translated your "conversation" with LJ into "mate" speak. Cos I'm sure that LJ would not be talking to you like that, especially as you just "bumped" into him in the pub and started chatting.

Where have I suggested he was calling me mate or owt?

And if you knew me, you'd know I talk to any fcuker as though I'm their best mucker. Rhymed that.

Two other BBS'ers were present, so maybe their recollection is better than mine. It's not 100% verbatim what I've typed there, but I'd wager I'm as close to it as I can remember.

We saw him outside, explained who we were, and asked if he fancied a beer with us so invited him into the pub. He accepted. We chatted for an hour, and we said our goodbyes and he wished us well for the charity walk.

He's done similarly with others on the forum, before and since that night. He's a very open lad.

Can confirm this, spoke to him down at one of the training sessions, speaks very well and knows his job will be gone if he isn't getting the team to perform. He's a very hard type character. Effing it and blinding it to players when they're doing ***** in training. He gets involved with everything and everyone, comes over to speak to spectators at training to even starting to play little games with the lads. We're in good hands with LJ and im confident he'll be here a long time. I cant wait for the season to start.

I didn't say that, but you typed it like you were having a conversation with a "mate". LJ just wouldn't talk about **** like that with you, sorry pal, just wouldn't happen.

Also you talk like your on talking terms with BM as well and you can "talk" anytime to discuss the managers jobs, again sorry pal, **** like that just doesn't happen. The Chief Exec isn't gonna talk openly to you about conversations he's had with the manager (or chief coach) which amounts to contractual obligations to members of the public. and if you think you can talk to LJ and BM about this ****, you my friend are deluded.

So I'm lying? And the other two lads there? Ok.

I don't talk like I'm on 'talking terms' with Ben either. What I have done is spoken to him on numerous occasions, and relayed back to other supporters what was said. If you think I'm making it up, that's your lookout.

As for being deluded, there's nothing at all delusional about me stating facts.

Not once have I suggested that Ben has spoken to me about conversations he's had with a manager. You've obviously misread my post, no bother.

Here it is again for you:

I then asked Ben the next day if LJ would be given time if it's not going to plan next season, and he said summat about Patrick making difficult decisions and wanting the best for BFC and that "Lee knows what is expected".

I'd hardly suggest he's broken any contractual obligation there.

OK, so you have your interpretation of what you say, and I have mine.

P.S. you can't take a wind up very well can you?;)
