I am. Bobby Hassell played with more players who play at Sheff United than Barnsley who'll be featuring in his testimonial

Used to like Chris Morgan during his spell with us, but since that head butt I've no time for the thug.

Exactly the sort of game I thought Bobby Hassell would/should have got. It never seems overly difficult to get a middle ranking Prem side or top Championship team to play in testimonials. Smaller clubs than us have arranged games for long serving players against decent opposition. Anyway never mind, been discussed already.

It wasn't a head butt it was an elbow.

So, to get this thread right once and for all on my part its Iain Hume, not Ian Hulme, and it was an elbow not a head butt. Is this all correct ?

But given Bobby came from Mansfield I'm presuming he wanted it that way

Look it's like this. Hulme was attacked by Morgan, he head butted him and then laced into him when he was down. All before video technology is where it is so difficult to make out today. FA saw it as a legal tackle and made Morgan a lifetime blade. This was long before the last game for Hill where he set fire to his Barbour jacket in front of the Ponty and used the fans BFC flags to fuel the fire. Even before the time Scott Wiseman scored 18 own goals, flashed his arse to the east stand who nearly clapped, then stormed off to a press conference where he said all barnsley girls are dogs (or was that Georgi Hristov) and that he hated every minute of shopping in Barnsleys ASDA. That was around the same era Shea became a legend and some people still wear his jersey with pride. All this is FACT.......as we see it today. Don't spoil things by making stories up.
