He is a winger not a striker? Lj said in star we was in talks with a striker so if watkins signs we expecting a striker signing too?

I've heard that Jambo / Jabo is likely to sign.

Jabo would be a good squad player but lj was quoted in star saying we was in talks with a striker out of contract but alot of clubs were after him. A few on here were guessing williams or tom pope.

I am still to be convinced. He would be a decent squad player though.

Having read their forum, it does appear that he mainly played out wide, but was pushed up front when they were short. They seem to rate him very highly up there. Heres a couple of quotes from them....

"As I've said earlier in this post, I believe the club should push the boat out for watkins, he has all the attributes to become a top striker, it would be money well spent in goals and a future transfer fee, the fact that so many clubs are interested is testament to that."

"Watkins is the real deal, good touch good in the air, pacy, can finish and can bend his runs to stay onside. The only area where watkins is weak is finishing which will come with confidence in his relatively new position. There are very few Watkins out there, there are many Oferes.*"

He got nine goals and eight assists last season.
