I've got 2 tickets to see Fleetwood Mac at the O2 on 24th June. Unfortunately I can't go now so I'm looking to sell them at face value. They are £85 per ticket if anyone is interested.
Good grief - £85, really?? I used to go to a lot of concerts but have been out of it for a while so was shocked when I looked at the prices for Mark Knopfler and the Moody Blues, both in Sheffield, recently. £50 plus seemed a bit expensive for them but looks cheap compared to your tickets! My goodness, how do people afford gig tickets these days?
How muuuuuuuch!?! **** me. More money ner sense lad! Them Pacific Islands won't pay for themselves eh..
I went to see them in their heyday late 70,s they were fantastic are they not all in their seventies now.
I'm so glad I don't tend to like popular bands (although I actually do like Rumours). I'd never be able to afford to see anyone. Going to an indie pop festival this weekend. 16 bands over 2 days. £15.
Just too expensive - I'd quite like to see them but throw in a train ticket from Farnham and its well over £100 per ticket I dont like them that much - last time I went to the O2 it was to see Kylie and I paid just over half that - somehow I dont think Fleetwood mac are twice as good
Went to see them last week as my son gave us tickets for Christmas. They were brilliant. For their age well worth it. On stage for 2 hours 45 mins non stop sounded better live than on the albums. 5star
The thing is that performers like Fleetwood Mac don't stay around for as long as they have because they are no good. They survive on raw talent and technical ability. There are plenty of acts from the 60s and 70s who are still doing their stuff, still sounding as good as they did. But £85 a ticket is just too much. I wonder how far from the stage that is as well. I know that with big screens behind and either side of the stage you can get close ups of them performing but that's not the point for me. You might as well buy or rent a DVD of them in concert. Back in the early 90s I had the "pleasure" of being near the stage at a hangar party celebrating the ending of the RAF's presence in Germany. The Troggs were on and they were superb, and it was free! When I say free, it didn't cost me any money but I suspect it cost me a lot more than that. I suffer with tinnitus now and I am convinced that being too close to the stage (they were so loud you could probably hear them across the other side of the airfield) was a major contributor to that condition. It probably started years before, listening to the likes of Purple on my headphones, but going to a lot of concerts from the late 60s onwards will have gradually made the condition worse. On the night though it was a fantastic occasion. I was close enough to see the sweat pouring off Reg Presley. I like seeing top musicians and singers up close. I don't suppose you can get that at places like the O2 can you?
To be honest I don't know the start and finish times. Not sure if you can google it. I had the travel lodge booked at East India dock. It was £68 for a double room on the night. The previous remarks are all very valid and true but from what I've heard the gig is awesome. I'm gutted I can't go, it features both Stevie Nicks and Christine Mcvie. Forgot to add the tickets are Floor tickets in B3 area I think very good view pretty clise apparently.
peter green and lyndsey buckingham are the only two people that made them any good. the others are just passengers really..
Dont agree They were a group that were better than their individual parts, to say Stevie Nicks was a passenger is laughable, and I thinly you are underestimating the effects of Fleetwood and John McVie. Even Christine was hardly a passenger though probably the most replaceable
What a load of **** mick fleetwood was the main man and the the 2 women sang 90% and wrote the large amount of their famous songs you obviously don,t know what your talking about.
Fantastic band with some of the best musicians and songwriters around, got my tickets for the gig at leeds in july.
Watched them live last week and was buzzing for two days. Watched their concert from Boston in 2004 without Christine mcvie and they weren't the same. All brilliant lyndsey Buckingham was superb on guitar. He never stopped I stayed in India dock I the tune hotel if you've time go to the dock museum. It's free. And use the dockers cafe for breaky
Seen Queen and Adam Lambert three times this year. So close I high fived Lambert every night and made eye contact with them all. Brilliant shows. Paul MacCartney recently a bit further away and Neil Diamond next month on the second row at Manchester. I regard these as the best and will willing pay to see them. £400 for the five which excludes family members. I considered Fleetwood Mac but I don't like them enough to pay that sort of money.
What a coincidence Redone, I have also seen Q and AL, Macca x2 and Going to see Neil Diamond x 8 this year, throw in 2 x Elton John and it adds up to a pile of cash....but I don't drink or smoke so spend my hard earned on gigs, see lots of less well known artists as well, mostly these cost 20 or so..Seth Lakeman 2 weeks ago only 15......and he is one of the countries top folkies...having said that I often pitch up at these gigs without a ticket and get in for a fraction of the ticket price....paid 30 for Macca at Liverpool recently......40 for a Paul Simon/Sting ticket 11 rows from the front and cost price 135 plus booking fee.........just need to haggle with the touts
