"South Yorkshire Police say 15 Barnsley fans are subject to football banning orders, Sheffield Wednesday 33, Sheffield United 31, Doncaster Rovers 21 and Rotherham United 18." http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/local...n-passports-before-ireland-friendly-1-7291730 Port Vale pending...
How is that possible when the club/police were telling us we were the most anti-social fans in the whole FL?
Only 15? I must hang around with some right wrong 'ens then as I know at least five myself, whether they are still banned or not though I don't know. I've always thought the club's statements regarding the behaviour of our fans was a bit suspect though, yes there are some right urchins who get off their head on mcat and are a nuisance but every club has these.
It's embarrassing. Sad to think that it's the 21st century and there's still people who can't go to a football match without acting like a pr!ck Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Because it was talking about football related arrests for anti social behaviour in the league during the season rather than banning orders. We've certainly been up there in S Yorks. Between 17th feb 2014 and 30th March 2015 arrests were as follows: 50 Sheff United 49 Barnsley FC 39 Sheff Wed 36 Doncaster 36 Rotherham United
You'd think there'd be some sort of correlation between the 2. And as DEETEE says, take the PVale game out of the equation and what does it leave. If there was 30 at PV then 19 arrests in the rest of the year is not bad at all.
And it states antisocial behaviour. .. so essentially you could be nicked for beig a bit pissed and that will be a few more on the list
If we are supposedly the worst fans and yet have the lowest number of banning orders, other clubs in the region are going to feel hard done by.
It can take 24 months to gather enough evidence to ban someone . Especially the bans they give out now which are not a criminal record. So next year expect a massive rise in banning orders Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've never been in trouble or involved in any disorder in the 35 years I've been alive so why would I think that ?
Speaking of the arrests some really are very petty. I was queuing with my kids to get in an away game last season think it was Sheff United and a lad come walking up admittedly he looked a bit pissed but he wasn't doing anything wrong. A cop told him to get in the queue, but he spotted his mates in the queue for the other turnstile and walked across to join them. The coppers just pull him out of the queue and took him away. Then threatened his mates with the same for objecting. i couldn't believe what I was seeing, yet all these petty arrest go towards those stats
I see it all the time, best thing to do, is do as they tell you answer their questions with short as possible answers and walk away. It pisses them off big time
