At Bury. http://www.buryfc.co.uk/news/article/large-tv-screen-sponsorship-2495071.aspx#ZyPVbMB8ckIDoPj0.99 Just seen that they've followed up the signings of Peter and Leon Clarke with Tom Pope too. Makes you wonder where the money's coming from.
Anyway, we don't need a new scoreboard because people should know what the score is. We don't need to sell pies/drinks because people should have this at home. We don't need to have a popular shirt that will sell well because some people on here don't wear them.
is a scoreboard an actual requirement for a ground? or is it just something a club can use to make more money?
In theory it will generate money but there is the initial outlay first. It's certainly not a requirement and I think most fans don't really care and would rather we spent the money on players. I just wish we'd turn the bloody thing off.
I'm with you mate. I do accept it would/could generate more income in the long run, but you just know there'll be a hundred posts about how it's not doing this or not doing that once installed. Tis ever the case on the BBS.
Definitely. From the first minute it will be ****, or over priced ****, or an unnecessary extravagance and the club will be castigated over it. I couldn't care less about it, if we get one then great but we'll survive if we don't. How's the trip?
It was good, cheers. Got back this aft. Took a shitload of photos and videos that I'll be putting together for a video blog type thing. I'll probably stick a link up on here or one of the other social media sites for folk arsed. R lass has made it clear that she dunt want footage of her on it, but me being a wally abroad might be worth a laugh at.
Surely that's got to be better than the thousand and one threads about how **** the current one is? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Dunt look reight good or professional, when your CEO says that we are definitely getting a new scoreboard. Two years later we're no further on but two fourth tier clubs whose combined average gate is still 1,000 below ours manage to sort it out.
They are pushing the boat out with big name players (for them) & a new scoreboard since their promotion. I hope it doesn't backfire on them .
Sat in a fans forum meeting and both Ben and Linton Brown said scoreboard would be fitted at end of March just gone, doubt it will happen now but just take the old 1 down its embarrassing
can't say I give even the slightest toss about the scoreboard but wish they'd sort it so the whiners could turn their attention to more pressing matters like the size and scope of the condiment stand and why we have no helicopter pad on thr roof of the West Stand
