Aren't they Second Division though? I bet some Bundesliga clubs pitch their prices about the same level

Certainly have. That's why they're getting 30k in div 2.

8 promotions and 6 relegations in the last 23 years. It certainly won't be boring.

The problem with Fortuna in recent years, I follow them as it's my brother in law's team, they come out of the traps flying but once the winter break is over they go in to free fall and end up finishing 6th/7th.

That's brilliant and wouldn't it be nice if English supporters had this kind of connection with their football club. Oh and no fans "having a bit of fun" on the pitch. Some people just know how to behave

The relationship between the fans and the players in Germany is amazing. We saw Bayer Leverkusen lose 1-0 to FSV Mainz 2 seasons ago and at the end of the game the Leverkusen fans went over to the fan section to apologise for losing! They were shaking hands and talking to the fans, it was pretty surreal to watch, there was no abuse being hurled at them.

I used to stand behind the goal at the Bokelberg before Gladbach moved to their new ground. As a serviceman I got a ticket for the equivalent of a couple of pounds - just had to show my ID card at the turnstile. Never saw or heard of any trouble, never any abuse from the fans if they lost, always a jumping atmosphere. This is over twenty years ago and it seems it is still the same. I always watch the Bundesliga highlights on ITV4.

As I said, it's just a matter of knowing how to behave. There is plenty of thuggery and what have you in all countries, including Germany, but you never get swarms of people on a football pitch. Odd that, and a good lesson for the "good time boys and girls" in this country, including Oakwell.

The only trouble I've seen was after the Bayer Leverkusen and FSV Mainz game. To get back to the town centre/train station you have to navigate through a small wooded area and a few underpasses, so as you can imagine a few idiots from both sides in a tight space together is bound to cause a bit of trouble.

Bit of pushing and shoving soon came to an abrupt end when the Polizei came wading in with their batons.
