that's when the pre-season training begins apparently. I can see it being a last dash panic buy at the end of July.
I expect us to sign about 10 players before the weekend, and for folk to then moan about summat else.
Re: do you think we will be in the top six at the end of the season It's difficult to predict anything until all our squads have been added to etc, and even then it's not easy. But I feel confident in LJ and co improving upon last seasons consolidation.
Re: do you think we will be in the top six at the end of the season Dragon Tyke falling into the classic trap of wanting BFC to do well and being put in his place.
whoah ... do not get me wrong I do not think we will struggle as much, or have any connections with the dog fight at the bottom end... but I do not believe we will get automatic promotion or end up in the play offs.. now will that be a bad thing..NO. If we keep a constant place in the top half then that will be in some ways progress... also if we keep a team together that will not be disbanded at the end of the season then that too will be plus... and finally if we keep Mr Johnson on to go again I believe that will also be a good thing. LJ has said 3 transfer windows are needed... I just hope he is given that ... When Danny Wilson took us to the Premier league he did not do it in ONE season... look back and see how long it took...and also in his first term he was hounded and slagged. yet he gave us our finest hour. I hope we can give a long term plan... well long term ... instead of our normal way.
We all want bfc to do well, but some have the intelligence to understand the constraints and processes. Some don't. C'est la vie.
What constraints does Barnsley FC have that other league one clubs don't? What are the processes we have to go though that they don't? I reckon the "intelligent" people understood this last summer. Look how well that went.
Where did I say other clubs don't? I didn't. It's not fantasy football where we just decide who we want and that's them signed. Do you think the club are just sat on their hands waiting for the transfer fairy to sort out a promotion squad? There's a wage budget and rules to adhere to. We'll make offers that fit, up to the players if they come here, we can't force them. There's loads to it, more than I can be bothered explaining, just step back and think about it. Or just whine and moan every day because things aren't going as you want. Sup to u.
