if she fails to disclose if any of the little oiks..... sorry, students, ffs, have any terrorist tendancies and she doesn't inform the authorities.
She'll be as guilty as hell whilst they, the little darlings, will claim they are from deprived/gay/lesbian/muslim/wrecked/under priviledged etc homes and were in fact only having a laugh when they said they might blow the school up.
What a fuc.ked up country we live in.

Why did Rotherham council fail to disclose?, if you make accusations these days you better be sure, they've just put teachers in a catch 22 with this legislation, damed if they do damed if they don't.

Teachers are being asked to be vigilant and report anything they see/hear that could be considered as terrorist related.

I don't see the relevance of the comparison to Rotherham council.

I'd expect a teacher to at least inform their head teacher if they witnessed such behaviour anyway. There's no confidentiality relationship between a teacher and student. If they witness something they should be reporting it rather than ignoring it.

It's unfair on your wife and other teachers to be put in that situation. A school kid says he's going to blow up the school but probably not likely. She reports it and they think it's just kid talk and nothing serious and run the risk of being thought of as a racist or picking on an ethnic minority. Or she decides to not report it because she thinks it's kids talk and then the kid actually does do something crazy and she's in trouble anyway for not reporting it. Teachers are overworked enough.

this'll be no different people are scared to make accusations, voicing you're concern about certain members of society automatically makes you a racist with a agenda. It's the way of the world,

    Poppycock. IMO.

You're assuming it'll always be an ethnic minority. Hmmm.

It's not though is it, because i voice my views on certain things on here, people see me as a racist and homophobe, but I'm not in anyway, but that's the way people are programmed these days, if you don't agree with everything other people do you're Prejudice. If you're not up on what terms when describing other are or are not acceptable that week again you're prejudice.

People consider you racist when you use racist connotations and name calling. I don't think a teacher will be submitting a report saying 'the curry chomper in my class was talking about bombing a church'. Do you? Nobody could ever think using such terms is acceptable.

I don't know what's been passed, just going on what the OP has said, I've presumed his wife knows the facts.

Nursery!?! Blimey! I was expecting to see something about junior or secondary school. My little boy started nursery this week. There's a dodgy looking 2yr old in the playgroup. Do I need to check if she's a jihadist then?

I'm not so sure. The key underlying issue with the child grooming scandals in towns like Rotherham was that people we're scared to report facts for fear of being called racist. Unless this culture has changed, particularly in the public sector, then I fear that some people will still be reluctant to report things.

You call a Muslim a Pork Pie dodger and theirs uproar, plod get involved, people get on their high horse why ? What's the difference why can some people take things with a pinch of salt and others can't, why is one comment and as a throw away remark and the other seen as a criminal offence? I'll never understand it

is it? or is people in the public sector, who didn't want to tarnish their careers by making what they felt might be political mistakes?

i just cannot get my head round how this can happen. if i knew it was happening, i would report it instantly. if i didn't think anything was being done immediately, i would report it to the press and force the issue. IMO, these are people who chose to remain silent, or chose to withhold information given to them. for me, these people (if proven guilty), are every bit as guilty as the offenders themselves.

i just wonder how far this goes. yewtree, catholic church, grooming, parliamentary enquiry, cyril smith, janner, etc etc etc
