Someone who has 3 kids, all need dropping at different schools, then need to get to work 10 miles away. Just off the top of my head. Someone who is on emergency call. Another off top of my head. You really are hard of thinking.
To get to work and back on public transport is a 5 hour round trip for me. Add that to my 12 hour shift at work and it would mean 7 hours between walking in the door and walking back out. In that time I would need to eat my breakfast, cook and eat my dinner, wash/shower/shave, and sleep. A car is essential for my job. In fact it said so on the job advert. 'Own transport essential'.
We have 150 staff at our place who are labelled as 'essential car users' for payroll purposes. I'll have to let them know how wrong they are.
Again, sorry I'm off to work now....need to make 2 journeys to Finningley and it's an 8 hour walk each way
Fancy dress... Would you ever wear a Dirndl? Not for me, I just mean generally. https://www.google.co.uk/search?sit...mg..0.6.484.UQA9RBaBi04#imgrc=dQAmIETMLB068M:
Not sure how this fits into the thread but sure it's an option for fancy dress around Oktoberfest. Not sure how people in Germany would respond to it though.
I'm not sure how Tyrone getting the bus to work fits in to this thread either, but that's the magic of the BBS. I meant in England, of course in Germany it's very popular around September/October time.
