I'm the other way, if after we've signed our summer signings, and we've managed to get 3,4 or 5 of the same sort of quality as Scowen, Winnall, & Hourihane I'll start to believe we could be in a very promising position come January, but still not be getting too excited, because our promotion chances will be in the hands of our board for a month, the 3 players already mentioned will all have 18 months left to run on their contacts, hopefully our summer signings will have at least the same left, if the board rebuff offers and make players honour their contracts for the first time in our recent history, then I'll starting thinking about promotion, and getting my hopes up, but no matter who we sign in the next month or two I'll not start dreaming of good times, because I don't trust the players, agents or the club not to destroy it all in the mid season transfer window, signing players like this lad will make me happy and I'll look forward to watching him play, but I'll not be getting excited at the prospects of promotion until February I've been let down by the club far too many times to get my hopes up with a few good signings.
I'm not getting excited over a player I've never seen and, until a couple of days ago, never heard of.
does alan nixon work for the mirror too?? Trinity news also own the people - so therefore its the same breaking news as the OP quoted.
Ditto. Even if the tweet is from an informed and accurate source I'll reserve any judgement until I've seen him play.
Sorry mate. I have had chance, aye. We had a curry on Thursday night. But I forgot to mention it. I'll message him tonight. I doubt he'll know owt until they're back training this week though, he's not pally with him outside of football. Great pals with Dean Whitehead though so him coming to Town's a bonus. Would have loved him at Oakwell, nemind Hammill.
