When... You come back to your car and see this mess has been left for you, with NO details from the culprit!!

Police can't do owt without witnesses or another number plate/driver being suggested, and there is no cctv around!!

A nice end to the weekend!! Looks like i'll be loosing my no claims bonus!!

    Some people are scumbags!!!!!

Let's hope your insurance company are decent enough not to touch your NCB.

Before reporting it to your insurance company get a quote for repair.

Even if you don't end up claiming (repair cheaper than excess etc) it will still up your insurance if reported.

    I didn't tell you this ;)

I do protect them yes, but even still my 'premium' will go up as i will need to declare that as an accident of no blame to myself, but that will still push up my insurance price! What a joy hey!

I have contacted the council for access to any street cctv (but not sure if they will help), and i suspect a neighbour may have done it in his pick up, which since i have noticed the damage has not been around!!

Not a great way to celebrate you birthday is it!!

Bloke came to my house at 11am yesterday morning, says he'd been parked outside 30 mins and someone had keyed his car. My cameras didn't go that far, but what gets into these people.

If you haven't already notified your insurance then don't yet. Get yourself to a local repair place and see how much they're quoting to fix it first.

Someone hut my car last year and despite them admitting fault and it being settled within 48 hours my insurance has still jumped 100 quid this year with having the none fault claim compared to not having one so a fault claim, even with protected no claims (which is an industry scam by the way) your insurance will rise a fair bit for a few years. Factor that rise for say 3 years plus your excess into the total cost to you and if the repair job is lower than that then don't declare.

The positive is that from your image it is one damaged panel which is obviously cheaper to repair than a series of panels.

Insurance companies are more scummy than the drivers who hit other folks cars and just drive off.

I tried to find a door in the scrappers and found one in the same colour, but it had sold!

    Thanks Kloonsky...

Where are you based? The silver trim is also dinted/bent along the top of the door, below the window, would that also be included in your quote?

    Thanks
